Frequently Asked Questions

Are the candidates in “parties’ like State and Federal Elections?

Some candidates are in parties and some are independent.
You will see listed next to their party name or 'Independent'.

How do I find out more about the candidates and their election promises?

It's very important you know what exactly you're voting for.

Each candidate can choose to make a statement which will be displayed here on the website. If blank, this means the candidate has chosen not to provide a statement or missed the deadline.

Often parties and independents run Facebook pages or websites that detail more on their policies so you can search them up if you'd like to find out more information.

Can I ask the candidates questions?

In the first week of campaigning there will be stalls where students can approach campaigners and ask questions on their own terms.
