Hi everyone! I’m Yasmin Cheung, a second-year Marketing student, and I’m running for Guild Councillor with ELEVATE Your Voice!
Through my experience as Vice President, Events Manager and now Marketing Officer of the Curtin Business and Commerce Association (CBCA), I’ve seen how valuable student organisations can be in creating community and connecting students with professional and industry opportunities. My time with CBCA has taught me the importance of listening to students, working collaboratively and turning ideas into practical initiatives.
As Guild Councillor, I’ll advocate for clearer and more accessible Guild communication so students know what services, events and opportunities are available to them. I also want to make it easier for clubs to succeed through simpler processes, better promotion and practical access to funding and resources.
I’ll work to expand accessible networking, career-development and skill-building opportunities across campus, while ensuring students have clear ways to raise concerns and make their voices heard.
