Guild representatives sit on University boards, panels, committees, groups and working parties to ensure that your voice is heard. They also work closely with Guild staff to develop and deliver essential student services.

GUILD COUNCIL

Guild Council is the highest governing body of the Guild.

We discuss finance and governance, ensure that reps are fulfilling their roles, monitor the progress of Guild sub-committees and discuss wider student issues and the actions we need to take to address them. We ensure that the Guild is functioning as it should, in order to deliver the best outcomes to students.

If you're interested in attending, please email secretary@guild.curtin.edu.au prior to the meeting.
Contact your student representatives that attend this board if you have something you would like discussed.

REPRESENTATION BOARD

Representation Board is here to discuss issues that matter and fight for you. From ensuring you receive a high quality, affordable education, running campaigns and keeping your officers accountable.

If you're interested in attending, please email educationvp@guild.curtin.edu.au prior to the meeting.

OTHER COMMITTEES AND BOARDS
 

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee advises and assists the Guild Council in the performance of its responsibilities and day to day management of the Guild.

FINANCE AND RISK COMMITTEE

The Finance and Risk Committee is responsible for reviewing the financial statements and reports for the Guild, examining the appropriateness of the Guild’s accounting policies, financial controls and risk management and oversees the Guild’s relationship with its external auditor. 
 

LEGAL COMMITTEE

The Legal Committee advises and assists the Council in all legal matters including amendments to the Guild Statute Book and any litigation. 
 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS COMMITTEE

The International Students Committee is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for all International Students. 
 

POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS COMMITTEE

The Postgraduate Students Committee is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for all Postgraduate Students.  
 

FIRST YEAR REPRESENTATIVES

The First Year Representatives assists the Executive Committee, Guild Council and Representation Board by providing a forum for first year students to provide feedback to the Guild and University, assists the Guild in the engagement of first year students to advocate on their behalf and provides first year perspectives to the Guild’s orientation program. 
 

HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE

The Health and Safety Committee is responsible for advising on matters relating to health and safety.
 

KALGOORLIE BRANCH

The Kalgoorlie Branch Committee is responsible for overseeing and monitoring all aspects of the Kalgoorlie Branch of the Guild. 
 

ACCESSIBILITY COLLECTIVE

The Accessibility Collective is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for students with disabilities. 
 

FIRST NATIONS COLLECTIVE

The First Nations Collective is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for First Nations students.  
 

WOMEN'S COLLECTIVE

The Women’s Collective is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for women and non-binary students. 
 

QUEER COLLECTIVE

The Queer Collective is responsible for promoting and assisting in educational, welfare, social and cultural activities for Queer Students. 
 

OPERATIONS COMMITTEE

The Operations Committee considers all aspects of the operations of the Guild and provides a forum for discussion and direction by student Officers and how they relate to the governance of student societies, activities, marketing and promotions.
