Hi everyone!
I'm Sekhar (He/Him). I'm in my second year of Computer Science and a committee member of the Cyber Security Club! I'm quite passionate about everyone's voices being heard and that's why I am running to be a Guild Councillor!
To me, University is more than just attending classes and meeting assignment deadlines. We have so much more to worry about and balancing everything at once can be very difficult. I believe that students' voices should be heard and that the guild should be a safe and supportive place that listens to students, represents their concerns and takes action when something needs to change.
I value leadership and kindness because I aspire to be someone who is approachable. Whether you have a problem, an idea or want to just talk about how your day is going, I want you to feel comfortable coming to me.
I want to advocate for the people that would like to speak up but cannot, because that's how I used to be. I want to hear everyone out and make sure that your concerns and ideas reach the Guild Council.
I am running for Guild Councillor because I believe every student deserves a representative that will listen to them, speak for them and fight for them.
