Hello hello, My name is Kathleen Lie (They/Them) and I'm running to be your Guild Councillor with Momentum!
I’m studying Marketing and have worked with different students with an array of different backgrounds and personalities. I’ve learned to listen, contribute, and speak up when it matters.
If elected as guild councillor, I will continue to advocate for affordability especially in food around campus. I will advocate for a $10 Meal Price Cap at the Cafe Central and an expansion on the $5 Student Saver Meals at every Guild outlet. As an international student myself, I especially value the prices of the food around campus and feel there should be cheaper and more accessible options students can easily find.
I will also continue advocating in stopping the Uni Merger as I think it is a violation of student rights and a big threat to the WA population as a whole. I don’t believe merging UWA, Murdoch, and Curtin is going to benefit the people. Instead the funds should go into the wellbeing and quality education of the students.
