Kaya! Hello!
I’m Natasha (She/Her), and I’m running to be a Guild Councillor because I’m committed to making campus life easier for every student, starting with how we get to campus and how the clubs run!
As a fellow public transport warrior, I believe that getting to campus should not be the hardest part of your day. Public transport is available, but it’s often inefficient, as a one hour journey can easily become two. CurtinLink is a great addition to resolve this complication, but it doesn’t reach enough areas to be a viable option for many students. If elected, I’ll push for express buses that run straight to Curtin and for CurtinLink to expand its range in order to make it easier for most students to get to university and back home!
A major part of my uni life has been clubs! I believe that running a club shouldn’t mean constantly fighting against the system. Having been an executive member for two club committees, I know firsthand how hard it can be to navigate the finances, events, and administrative processes that all clubs have to rely on. If elected, I’ll advocate for easier administrative systems and clearer guidelines for new committees so that clubs can spend their energy in building a community rather than fighting the paperwork.
My experience across club committees and student life allows me to advocate for these issues in a strong and committed manner.
