Overview

The WA Government is proposing a merger of Curtin, UWA and Murdoch into a single university of around 120,000 students.

Supporters of public education, students and staff are concerned that the proposal would come at a significant cost while failing to address the issues that matter most: affordability, accessibility, quality education and adequate support for students.

To show our opposition, students, staff and community members will gather at WA Parliament House to make it clear that we do not support the proposed merger.
