What does this role do?

Represent and advocate for First Nations students.

  • Be a representative for First Nations students to reach out to for support
  • Organise social activities and events for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student community
  • Advocate for First Nations students rights on university committees
  • Prepare a report for Representation Board each month

This representative attends:

First Nations Collective Members

Collective Members allow the Equity Departments to facilitate more frequent activities and events, expand the representation of marginalised students, and give more students from equity backgrounds the opportunity to participate in decision making and spaces.

Appointment of members is undertaken within four weeks of the start of Semester One.
