The Curtin Student Guild is making campus more accessible with free period product dispensers—an initiative led by the Guild Women Department and the Guild Queer Department.

FREE PERIOD PRODUCTS ON CAMPUS

The Curtin Student Guild is making campus more accessible with free period product dispensers—an initiative led by the Guild Women Department and the Guild Queer Department. These dispensers provide free pads and tampons in key locations across campus, ensuring everyone has access to essential products when they need them.
 


WHERE TO FIND THEM?

The current locations are:

  • Level 3 TL Robertson Library
  • Building 405 (School of Nursing and Midwifery)
  • 204.213 (Engineering / WA School of Mines)
  • Near building 208 (Humanities) outside at the Creative Quarter
  • 302:101 (Hayman Theatre)
  • Toilets between Guild Reception and undercover area (coming soon)

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

This initiative was driven by student advocacy to address period poverty and ensure that no one on campus has to go without necessary hygiene products. The Guild is committed to supporting student wellbeing and promoting inclusive, accessible facilities.

This campaign is ongoing and you can keep updated by following the Guild Womens Department and Guild Queer Department on Instagram.
 


PERIOD HYGIENE TIPS

  • Wash hands before and after changing products.
  • Change pads every 3-4 hours. Higher absorbency pads may be required overnight.
  • Change tampons every 3-4 hours. Use the lowest absorbency required. NEVER leave a tampon in overnight.
  • always place used items in disposal bins. Please do not flush product or packaging.
