PEART, Evan A (Reform Curtin)

nus

Hey! My name is Evan, and I am a third-year law student. I am running to be president of the Curtin Student Guild.

It has become obvious that you, the Curtin student, are not adequately represented by the Student Guild. Curtin can no longer go on with a 2 left-wing party system, which has turned the guilds' priorities into activism rather than student needs.

There is no pragmatic and truly student-focused alternative to the socialist, progressive parties that prefer extremist-like activism over actually advocating for the everyday Curtin student.

That is why we have formed a new party, Reform.

I am extremely proud of the brave individuals who have put their hand up to run against the socialist, activist parties that have dominated the guild for too long. Together, we will stand up for students and advocate for your needs!

The rise in extremism has reached new heights.

We would not storm the library during study week. We would not trap students in the engineering building. How does this benefit the Curtin student?

This is not putting you first, and it has gone on for far too long.

The Curtin Student Guild is a Student union that should advocate for Curtin students. It is NOT Federal Parliament.

We will fight for the things students actually want:

  • Better quality Assessment Feedback across the board
  • Detailed Feedback and Results to be released for Final Exams
  • A fairer and better Group Library Booking system
  • Better Uni Life: themed parties, student-led tours, inter-varsity sports competitions
  • A Designed Outdoor Study Area
  • More Permanent Parking Areas

On top of this, we will focus the Guild’s power when advocating for broader issues on improving our graduates’ post-uni life! This is something overlooked by the guild.

We need Reform.

But for this to happen, we need your support.
