Hi, I'm Sam (She/Her) and I'm studying Geology and Environmental biology. I'm passionate to step forward as a candidate for the role of Guild Councillor.
Though my involvement with the Guild has been relatively brief, I'm eager to expand my impact and extend my empathetic perspective on the challenges that university life can bring. In my time as a girlie who studies rocks all day, I understand the challenges of academic demands, late-night study sessions, and the ongoing quest for a balanced life. My experience volunteering with the Geo-Outreach committee has not only developed my ability to teach students that minecraft happens in real life, but it has given me great leadership and teamwork skills.
In the role of a Guild Councillor, I’d like to serve as an advocate to fellow students across all disciplines, as they navigate their Curtin journey. It's crucial that the concerns and aspirations of all students are effectively represented at the Guild’s highest decision-making body—and that’s what I want to do!
