Hi, I’m Noor Fellah (she/her), a Software Engineering student at Curtin University, and I’m running for the position of Guild Councillor!
As a current Guild Councillor, I bring experience and a deep commitment to making our university a fairer, more just place for everyone. As a North African student, I am dedicated to representing our Middle Eastern and North African community at our university, and I will advocate strongly for the rights and needs of all students.
A top priority for me is fighting for affordable student housing and ensuring that all students living on campus have their renter rights protected. Too many students are burdened by high costs and poor living conditions, and I will work tirelessly to address these issues, pushing for policies that put students first.
I also take a clear stance against our university’s ties to climate criminals and weapons manufacturers and am committed to pushing for divestment from these unethical partnerships. I stand in solidarity with Palestine and will urge our university to do the same, advocating for divestment from companies complicit in the occupation and for a principled stance on human rights.
As the founder of the Curtin MENA Club, I will continue to push for all university clubs to remain tax-free and properly funded, ensuring they have the resources to thrive and build up our diverse communities on campus.
