Hi! My name is Anniesey Nicole Alconaba, but you can call me Nicole :)
I'm currently studying a double degree in Marketing and Social Media and am running to be a Business and Law Representative.
Although I have yet to gain experience of committee positions within Uni, I have experience being captain of Premontre House, Hip Hop and Liturgical Music in my last year of Highschool. Prior to receiving these captaincy roles, I had been involved within the committee of each area for several years, during which I honed valuable skills that are vital for a Business and Law Representative. These skills include event development and management, communication and public speaking, creativity and adaptability.
Growing up I have always been extroverted and social, this led me to value social justice, respect and open-mindedness after hearing the stories and perspectives of those around me. Driven by these values, I am advocating for the following policies; Receiving comprehensive feedback on time, opening a playground on campus and free access to a lawyer and financial counsellor for students. As a keen learner I find feedback to be very important to better myself as a student and person. This has led me to advocate for receiving comprehensive feedback on time. Whilst education is important, I find having a good balance in life to be even more so. Thus building a playground on campus becomes a desirable policy as it will provide students with a fun environment, nostalgic of their childhood to unwind in. The playground provides students with the opportunity to destress and detach themselves from the busy uni life. As a Business and Law student I understand that learning about finances, economics and the law can seem difficult and daunting. As such I find great importance in providing free law and financial services to students. I firmly believe that this will aid students beyond university life.
