Jasmyne Tweed

Hello! My name is Jasmyne Tweed and I’m a third year Law and Commerce student running for the positions of Guild Councillor and NUS Delegate in 2023.

Over the last year I have been advocating for the rights of Curtin students as the Business and Law Faculty Rep and Chair of the Representation Board. Through these roles, I have developed the necessary skills to better advocate for changes that improve the student experience.

I have a strong passion for governance that has grown significantly through my law degree and time on the legal committee at the Guild. I contributed to the rewriting of the Guild By-laws and the Guild Governance Review where I was able to gain a deep understanding of the structure of the Guild and the application of its regulations.

My passion for student advocacy has only continued to grow through my experience in the Guild and if elected to Guild Council, I hope to continue the fight for a better student experience for all Curtin Students. Including the introduction of flexible parking options and improving the quality of education taught at Curtin.

Curtin students deserve a Guild that is transparent in its advocacy and fight for a better student experience!
