Hey all! My name is Toby (they/she) I’m currently a second year Social Work student and am so excited to be running as a Guild Councillor!
For the last two years, I’ve been involved in the guild as a member of the Queer Collective. Through this, I’ve gained experience in effectively amplifying and uplifting the voices of fellow students. I’m thankful for this opportunity to work alongside other brilliantly motivated students.
As a social work student, my values are rooted in equity, transparency, integrity, and accountability for the Guild’s governing body. Above all, I believe students’ voices must be heard to genuinely make a difference in the community, something I aim to work towards as a Guild Councillor.
If I am elected, my goal is to focus on and advocate for several key:

Affordability of campus accommodation.

Ending systemic deadnaming.

Making essential student services accessible, including parking, food, and academic support.
As a guild councillor, I will ensure decisions are made with students’ interests at heart. I will always want to hear from you, the students, so I can offer insightful recommendations at Guild Council so I can make sure changes are made that will benefit you. I truly believe that together we can build better, brighter outcomes for all Curtin students!
