Hello!
My name is Jai Carlsen (He/Him). I am a first-year student studying Secondary Education in Mathematics, running for the position of Faculty of Humanities Representative.
I’m a fresh face up here, I moved up from Margaret River this year! Living in student accommodation has made me realise how much change we need for our international and regional students where student accommodation is the only real option. This is something I will always fight for within the guild, living through the experience as well!
Humanities is a very broad area, each individual course within it is incredibly different. I have a love for nearly every element of learning, so I am always happy to have a chat about humanities, whatever course you are in!
I want to make sure everyone has an equal say and an equal right for opportunity, no matter which course you are in or whatever background you have. I want to make sure that every student has access to both academic and personal support, and that issues they may have are from difficult assignments, not basic needs.
