Hey y'all, my name is Tahni Rowe (she/her) and I am running for Vice President - Activities! I'm a fourth-year double degree student in Engineering and Finance.
I am a previous Guild Councillor sitting on Guild Council from 2023 to 2024. I have held multiple club positions in my time here at Curtin including Media & Marketing, Secretary and now President for the Curtin Engineers Club. As well as being a general committee and founding member for the Curtin Mixology Society, and an active member of ACES and Curtin Robotics. I have worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for 5+ years, making me no stranger to running large events and having a good time.
I strongly believe that the university experience extends beyond the classroom and is not only about what you are learning but about building a community with those you are learning with. The good times you have and the friends you make will always be the best memories and help you get through the tough moments. Whether it's a good tav party, club quiz night or just hanging out with like-minded people that help shape your university experience to make it the best it could be, I'm passionate about it!
As your Vice President - Activities I aim to deliver even bigger and better events to bring a strong social culture to campus. For clubs I aim to increase club grants, have more dedicated club spaces, improve grievance processes, make information streamlined and simplified for club executives/committees.
