The Guild Legal Committee and Guild Council are intending to make changes to the Student Guild (Student Societies) By-Laws 2023 to achieve the following outcomes:
- Make all student societies sub-entities of the Guild.
- Protect unincorporated clubs from being taxed on their income.
- Require student society bank accounts to be subaccounts of the guild (this change is linked to the sub-entity change).
- Remove the option to have custom constitution and place any customisation in optional club specific by-laws.
- Spelling, grammatical and other administrative corrections.
Legal Committee are currently drafting these changes to our By-Laws.
