Focus for 2023

My focus this year is to:

  • Create a “central” club space
  • Collaborate and include campus clubs for our annual guild events
  • Push engaging events with quality giveaways
  • Provide support for the guild representatives with faculty and equity events
  • Present guild as a welcoming space for the creation of new clubs
  • Activating the south end of campus
  • End the year with a bang – a brand new event!

About Athina

Hey everyone! My name is Athina Hilman and I am studying Journalism and Marketing/PR. I am so excited to be your Vice President of Activities as events has always been a strong passion of mine. I’ve got a lot of love for clubs on campus and I want to do all I can to help nurture club culture.  I have extensive experience in events, in particular music events. I’d love to get a music festival on campus someday so watch this space.

My favourite guild event is definitely O-Day! I love the excitement on people’s faces when they talk to club members and you can’t go past all the free giveaways. A campus filled with thriving clubs is definitely a campus I’m proud to be part of.

In my spare time, I’m always down to explore food options on campus. You’ll most likely find me at Guild Café Central eating Nasi Lemak (a Tuesday special). Follow us on Curtin Student Guild socials to see all the cool events we’re holding and hope to see there!

The Curtin Student Guild recognises the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional owners of this land, and pays respect to elders past, present, and emerging.
