FOCUS FOR 2025

My focus this year is to:

  • Let’s bring campus back to life! I want to make campus life interesting & to make coming to campus the highlight of your day. It should be fun & engaging, and be a place you want to come to - not just to study & learn, but for it to be a place to make friends and engage with the community.
  • Strive to increase food giveaways - I’ll see you in the library with my snack cart!
  • I want to look at improving the sustainability of Guild events & make it easier for clubs to do the same.
  • We now have over 100 student clubs! I want to make sure that we keep club culture alive and look into delivering more spaces for clubs to be able to book & use to deliver events & activities.

ABOUT JACQUIE

Hi, I’m Jacquie and I’m so excited to be your Vice President Activities for 2025!

I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Commerce - Property Development & Valuation (FBL student) and I’m now a humanities student studying the Environment & Climate Emergency course.

I founded a club in 2023, the Sustainable Collective at Curtin (SCC), was the driving force behind the creation of the Vice President Sustainability & Welfare, and was the first person to be elected into the role. As VPSW I was involved with many of the welfare related events and introduced the Guild’s first Sustainability Week event. I’m so honoured to be this year's VP Activities and can’t wait to get started and help the Guild Representatives deliver engagement around their campaigns as well as assist them with events, activities & stalls.

The Guild is the student-elected student voice on campus. We’re here to represent you, so use us! Tell us what you want us to work on. If you have event or club ideas you can contact me on 9266 2920 or by email activitiesvp@guild.curtin.edu.au. You can also reach out directly to relevant representatives. Feel free to call (main number is 9266 2900), email (hello@guild.curtin.edu.au) or stop by and have a chat (we’re at 106F just up from Concept Coffee).

The Curtin Student Guild recognises the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional owners of this land, and pays respect to elders past, present, and emerging.
