CLUB SUPPORT TEAM
Clubs and societies are in good hands with our Clubs Officers looking after the majority of day-to-day club queries, bookings, events, processes and administration; with support from Vice President – Activities.
The primary objective of the Guild's Club Support Team is to capacity-build clubs to their maximum potential, by providing processes, training, and tools; whilst also managing risk and ensuring compliance.
Core functions include:
- Assisting clubs with general operations
- Supervising club governance
- Answering club queries
- Facilitating and reviewing club registrations (annually)
- Delivering club training and inductions
- Administering and processing club grants and funding
- Addressing disciplinary issues, compliance, and misconduct
- Processing venue and equipment bookings
- Providing comprehensive event support and advice
- Reviewing and approving club event application forms
- Liaising with relevant internal (i.e. Curtin) departments and external regulatory bodies and ensuring correct operating procedures and legislation are followed.
WORKING WITH US
There may be times where your role may lend itself to working with the Club Support Team.
For example, a Head of School may approach a Faculty Representative with a request to organise a club focus group, aimed at collecting feedback relevant to the faculty.
The Club Support Team actively encourages cross collaboration between clubs and the wider Guild and University wherever possible, and we are always keen to facilitate this. Please liaise with club staff directly on all club-related matters.
Should a club approach you with ideas, questions, issues, or feedback, we also ask that you loop in the Club Support Team (clubs@guild.curtin.edu.au) wherever possible.
This helps to:
- reinforce a consistent central communication channel for all things clubs
- note, address, and action any systemic or recurring concerns
- provide additional context, advice, and information where relevant
