LIFEHACKS

LifeHacks makes life skills and vocational training affordable and accessible for all Curtin students.

AFFORDABLE COURSES

First Aid (Registrations open July 2018)

A Provide First Aid qualification (formerly known as Senior First Aid) is issued to successful participants in this course, and is valid for three years. Attainment of this qualification satisfies the first aid training requirements for many Curtin courses (both undergrad and postgrad), and will also enable you to progress onto more advanced courses, if relevant.

CPR Refresher (Registrations open July 2018)

The CPR re-certifying course is designed to refresh the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 12 months.

Bartending 101 (Registrations open July 2018)

The Tav is opening up it's bar to any wannabe bartenders out there! Our experienced managers will show you how to serve popular drinks, pour a beer and make cocktails all while maintaining responsible service of alcohol. You will also have the opportunity to work a shift in the famous Tav bar as work experience!

Basic Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop (Registrations open August 2018)

Whether you already own a motorbike, are about to buy one, or are just keen to tinker with mechanics, this class is a great starting point! Come down and get your hands dirty in this handy class that covers the basics of motorcycle maintenance. Our resident Motorcycle Guru Simon is full of practical knowledge from his own cross-country motorcycle escapades, and is always happy to share his expertise on the subject!
