LinkedIn Masterclass – Workshop Overview
This workshop helps students build a strong, professional LinkedIn presence. Learn how to present your skills clearly, use LinkedIn for personal branding and employability, keep your profile active and up to date, write an effective bio, and avoid common mistakes. By the end, you’ll know how to use LinkedIn strategically to support your career growth.

Get your free professional headshot during Careers Week to update your LinkedIn profile and CV and make a strong first impression with employers.

The photoshoot will operate during a designated two‑hour window, and individuals will be accommodated based on their arrival time.
Tuesday 10th March - Job Interview, CV/Resume Writing Workshop
Master CVs, cover letters, AI use, and interview skills to stand out, meet ATS standards, and boost your job success.
What's Included:
This workshop focuses on building strong resumes and developing effective interview skills. Participants will receive a concise overview of resume writing, including key formatting tips and what employers look for, with clear signposting to additional resources for further guidance.
The majority of the session will concentrate on interview preparation, including how to structure strong answers, respond confidently to common questions, ask thoughtful questions of employers, and present professionally. The workshop will be interactive and practical, giving participants the opportunity to actively develop and practise their interview skills.

Thursday 12th March - Immigration & VISA Advice
Immigration & visa workshop by Pathway Migration for students finishing studies, exploring options to stay in Australia.

Planning Your Pathway Beyond Student Visa (Subclass 500)
The session will provide practical, up-to-date, and realistic guidance on transitioning from a Student Visa to post-study visa options and long-term PR pathways.
This workshop is specifically designed for students who are in their final year or final semester and are exploring migration pathways after completing their studies in Australia.

Friday 13th March - First Aid Certification
The Curtin Student Guild is offering students nationally accredited First Aid & CPR training for just $20 (usually $140) as a Guild Careers Week special.
Perfect for students pursuing careers in healthcare, education, sport, childcare, mining, hospitality and more, this course provides accreditation in HLTAID009 (CPR), HLTAID010 (Basic Emergency Life Support), and HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid).
The course includes a self-paced online component plus a mandatory on-campus practical session at Curtin University. Accreditation is issued once both components are completed.
