Enactus is an international non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action... Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, our students take the kind of entrepreneurial approach that empowers people to be a part of their own success.

SUITED UP PROJECT Curtin University Enactus team have established a project titled, Suited Up. The objective of our project is, through partnerships with local charities and other organisations, support those experiencing homelessness with their goal of entering the workforce.

The Suited Up project aims to increase the job prospects of participants by providing support in the following ways: - We provide support related to the job application and selection process. This is done by providing free tailored workshops - run by the Human Resource Student Association of Western Australia™ (HRSAWA) - to empower confidence and, communication and collaborative abilities (underpinned with the knowledge of Curtin Career's Employment & Leadership). As well as, provide up to date information regarding Resumes, CVs, Cover Letters, etc.

Alongside this, we support job-seeking members of our community whom struggling with disadvantages such as homelessness, by providing lightly worn donated workwear/formalwear for when participants are ready to enter the workforce or sit an interview.

Additionally, we offer the opportunity for job-seeking members of our community, struggling with disadvantages, to volunteer alongside Enactus Students to allow for all volunteers involved to sharpen their interpersonal and soft skills and add meaningful and recent volunteerism/work experience to their Resume.

The weekly volunteer event is a space where we cut and sew the fabrics from unwearable clothing that has been donated to us, into blankets, beanies, scarves and gloves to gift to the local community center.

To enable the volunteers in this process, we welcomed and collaborated side by side with members from cal charity reate warm and sustainable clothing for those in need. To finance this volunteer event, the donated items too casual for work, the Curtin Enactus team have organised to re-sell at Curtin's Market Day Stalls. Injecting the revenue gained (and sponsorship grants) into the project to finance Suited Up's sewing machines, needles and other equipment, as well as, costs associated with weekly hire of Victoria Park Community
