Guild Student Pantry

About the Pantry

The Guild Student Pantry is here to support Curtin students facing financial hardship by providing access to essential food with no judgment or barriers to entry. This is a free and confidential service offered through Student Assist, part of the Curtin Student Guild.

What’s Available

The Pantry stocks a range of non-perishable pantry staples, which may include:
  • Rice, pasta, oats, noodles
  • Beans, lentils
  • UHT long‑life milk,
  • Breakfast cereal
  • Canned tuna
  • Pasta sauce
Stock is limited and dependent on availability.

The Pantry operates on a community-sharing model, encouraging all to take only what is needed to ensure resources are shared equitably.

The Guild Pantry will be stocked weekly. Once the weekly stock is depleted, the Pantry will close for the remainder of the week and reopen when restocked.

Access

The Guild Pantry is available to currently enrolled Curtin University students facing genuine financial hardship. The following access guidelines apply:
  • Maximum of two visits per semester
  • Up to eight varied items per visit
  • Students must bring their own bag
  • Bookings are essential and must be attended on time
  • Presentation of a Curtin student card is mandatory for entry
Access to the Pantry requires scanning a Curtin student card upon arrival. Entry will be denied without valid student identification.

As the Pantry is not designed for long-term food assistance, Students requiring a third visit within the same semester will need to arrange an appointment with a Student Assist Officer. This meeting with a Student Assist Officer is to gain an understanding of your circumstances and direct you to external resources.

Location

The pantry is located at the Guild Building 106F. Students will need to book in a time slot to gain access to the pantry.

Opening Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Opening Hours: 10:00am – 12:00pm and 2:00pm – 3:30pm
(Closed on public holidays)

Make a Booking
Cancelations and rescheduling can be done via the booking platform.

Students with urgent needs outside of these times can reach out to Student Assist to arrange alternative options.
