ACRONYMS

Universities love their acronyms!

Here are some of the commonly used acronyms associated with Higher Degree by Research courses:

ADVCR – Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research

DGR – Director of Graduate Research

EFTSL – Enrolled Full-Time Student Load

FGRC/FGSC – Faculty Graduate Research Committee/Faculty Graduate Studies Committee

FT – Full-time

GRS – Graduate Research School

HDR – Higher Degree by Research

LoA – Leave of Absence

M1 – Milestone 1

M2 – Milestone 2

M2 – Milestone 3

MPhil – Masters of Philosophy

PhD – Doctor of Philosophy

PT – Part-time

ROC GRS – Research Office Curtin, Graduate Research School

RT – Research Term

RTP – Research Training Program
