Award winning Kirribilli Catering created a refined and elegant menu for the investiture of Curtin University’s new Chancellor Dr Andrew Crane.
According to Food and Beverage Manager, Kelli Edwards, 150 guests enjoyed cold canapes , warm delicacies and a selection of fine cheeses.
The menu featured salmon tartare, sweet red onion crème fraiche, dill & Black Sesame seeds cones; scallop and minted green pea spoon with burnt orange beurre blanc; polenta, leek, red pepper cakes with sesame soy honey dressing and Herb and parmesan crusted lamb cutlet with cucumber yoghurt drizzle.
“We were honoured to be part of such an important occasion in Curtin’s history and we strived to create a menu that was innovative and contemporary,” she said.
Ms Edwards said that the start of the academic year had been a busy one for Kirribilli as it had also catered for 13,000 guests at 11 Curtin graduations.
Kirribilli Catering is a Savour Australia Gold Licence Caterer, the independently judged awards program that recognises exceptional service and culinary talent. Kirribilli Catering was the winner of the Award for Excellence in 2015 and a finalist in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
For the past 30 years Kirribilli Catering has operated on site at Curtin University as part of the Curtin Student Guild’s commitment to providing outstanding food service for students and staff at Bentley Campus.
