Mental Health Week 2021!

This is a whole week aimed to highlight the importance of Mental Health through awareness of services, resources and preventative strategies to keep people mentally healthy.

The Guild will be running a bunch of FREE events, activities and giveaways across the week, so make sure to follow @curtinguild on Facebook and Instagram to not miss out on anything!

?? TUESDAY – 12 October

Cuddly Cats and Crafts
10am – 3pm / The Zone and 106 Courtyard
Session One / 10am – 12pm
Session Two / 1pm - 3pm

Cats and Crafts, is there much more to say!
Brighten your day with cuteness overload as Perth Rescue Angels and Kittens are bringing their fluffy friends to campus! FREE workshops, giveaways and activities including tote bag decorating will also be running throughout the day.
 

?? WEDNESDAY – 13 October

Men’s Mental Health Breakfast
10am – 11am / The Zone, Building 106D

Men’s mental health issues are commonly known to go unrecognised due to the stigma related to men reaching out for help. So, come down to our Men’s Mental Health Breakfast to meet other students and enjoy some delicious breakfast platters including tea, coffee and juice. Vegan and gluten free options available.

Curtin Student Law Society / Clayton Utz Mental Health Quiz Night
From 7pm / The Tav, Building 106C

Get your brain juices flowing! Student Law Society will be hosting a quiz night at the Tav with all ticket proceeds for this event being donated to Minds Count Foundation. A foundation dedicated to raising awareness for mental health within the legal industry.

Donut Giveaway

Join the Guild’s Science and Engineering Faculty Rep Jason Kim for a FREE donut giveaway on the lawn at Building 215 with lawn games, bean bags, music and prizes to be won!

Pancakes and Pups
From 10am / Guild Reception, Building 106F

Our good friends at Greyhounds Adoptions WA will be coming down with their greyhounds on Friday with prizes on offer to help raise funds for Greyhounds Adoptions WA! The Psychology Student Association (PSA) will also be running a tasty Pancake Breakfast BBQ!
