About

Curtin AHC celebrates and commemorates the 12th divinely chosen Imams, providing the rejoicing of the souls and also teaching ways of practising gratitude and humbleness with our Shia practices.

'Ahlulbayte' is an Arabic phrase that is defined as the ‘People of the House’. This term refers to the holy family of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him [PBUH]), whose ethics and principles are an example for humanity. Curtin AHC  celebrates and commemorates the 12th divinely chosen Imams, providing the rejoicing of the souls and also teaching ways of practising gratitude and humbleness with our Shia practices.

This specialised Shia club will embrace all of our members and broader constituents with establishing that peace, harmony and belonging through the Shia teachings.  This club focuses on implementing these ethics and principles into everyday life, helping students grow into becoming important members of their community. Students will be welcomed to participate in fundraising, charity and social events within the university that will help create bonds with others.

The Curtin Student Guild recognises the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional owners of this land, and pays respect to elders past, present, and emerging.
