2020 Club Mega Challenge - Level One

LEVEL ONE - Open Now!
To claim points on a task, lodge a points claim form.

Most points can be backdated where applicable (must have occurred in 2020) so there is minimal disadvantage should your club or society enter the race at any time during the challenge. These tasks and mini-challenges will help grow and build up your club, so we'd encourage you to get involved now! 

The 2020 Club Mega Challenge is open to current Guild-registered clubs and societies only.

Register or Renew Your Club

Successfully register or renew your club for 2020 within the Semester One intake period

Please note that if you have registered your club in Semester One, this cannot be redeemed as you are already registered for the year.


Run a stall at O-Day, Semester One

Attend Club Induction Day (Semester One)

 

2 Points

  • Only club committee members may attend.
  • Can only redeem points once (max. 2 points in total).
  • Must have signed in on attendance sheet

Organise admin access to your club listing on the Guild website

1 Point per officer bearer account

  • Create a user account on the Guild website and then email the clubs officer to request admin access to your listing. They will breif you how to access and edit your page (it's very simple).
  • Up to a max. of 4 points available.
  • Must create accounts as individual, will be given admin access to your club(s) upon request.

Attend a Guild Clubs & Societies committee meeting

1 Point per meeting

  • Only club committee members may attend the C&S Committee Meetings.
  • Max 1 point per meeting, per club.
  • Must have digitally signed in as per the instructions of the Clubs Officer within the meeting.

Join the Curtin Club Reps Facebook Group

1 Point per committee member

  • Join HERE.
  • Up to a max. of 4 points available.

Self-add your digital events to the Guild website

1 Point per event

  • You can do this once you have admin access to your club listing (see above challenge to do this). Events will be displayed on your listing as well as the Guild's central event page HERE.
  • Up to a max. of 8 points available

Add the Guild logo to your website or social media

1 Point

  • This shows the Guild is a major sponsor/parent body.
  • Can only redeem points once per year.
  • Must use correct and current logo, found HERE.

Lodge club vouchers for reimbursement

1 Point

  • New clubs only (registered 12 months or less).
  • Can only redeem points once, see HERE for details on how to submit your vouchers.

Lodge a Clubs Online Proposal form

1 Point

  • Can only redeem points once. Lodge proposal HERE.


CLUB BIO CHALLENGE

3 Points for a photo post
5 Points for a video post

Create an Instagram story or general social media post using your club's social media account showcasing your club.

Must include these elements:

  • Name of your club
  • What's the best thing about your Guild club
  • How has being part of a Guild club enhanced your Uni experience
  • What would you say to students that have never joined a club before
  • What are some of the digital initiatives you are running during this time
  • Tag @curtinguild

 Other items to note:

  • Your club can only redeem these points once, and you must follow the brief outlined above.
  • Instagram profile must be in club's name and must be public.
  • Please save a copy of the story to your device / account prior to publishing to your story (tip - save as a "highlight" if using Instagram) - this may be required to verify the video at a later date if requested and it is always good practive to save this in a accessible library location for your fellow committee member to access for future promotions.
  • Tips for this post: Make a video so you can answer more questions without flooding your caption/story with loads of text. Details on how to create and edit your video & links to free software can be found online under “Film & Editing Workshop” HERE. General photo posts or IG stories are also welcome. Please tag @curtinguild in every post, story slide AND within the picture and video itself so that we have sharing capabilities for each individual post and story - If you tag us on the first story, but not the rest, we can only share one portion.

CLUBS ONLINE EVENT CHALLENGE 

5 Points

Publish a video to your story or do a livestream using your club's Instagram account showcasing an online club event/activity/challenge that you are running. 

  • Explain who you are - Tell us what the online event/challenge/activity is called and what it's about
  • Tell people why & how to attend / participate OR how they can attend future online events run by your club
  • Tag @curtinguild with a shoutout for people to follow us to hear about future club events

 
Other items to note:

  • Your club can only redeem these points once, and you must follow the brief outlined.
  • Instagram profile must be in club's name and must be public.
  • Must tag @curtinguild to redeem points.

GUILD EVENT CONTRIBUTION CHALLENGE

2 Points per event

Contribute to a centralised Guild activity or online "event". Please note that this primarily includes events accompanied by a call out from Guild staff specifically seeking club input, but may extend to events that have been initially proposed by clubs to the Guild, which the Guild then agrees to facilitate as a broader Guild-driven event. The facilitation and approval of such events is solely at the Guild's discretion, and will be based on scheduling, resources, and broader Guild event programming.

  • Eligible contributions include running a stall, performing, running a demonstration or display, facilitating or collaborating on an online challenge/activity, or other approved significant event contribution.
  • Up to a max. of 4 points available. Standard club stalls at O-Day are not eligible for this challenge, but these can be redeemed within the Level 1 task list (see above).

Add a membership sign up form to the Guild website

5 Points

  • Paid membership: add your membership sign-up form to the menu bar on your club listing, linking through to your payment system of choice.
  • Free membership: add a sign up form to your listing, using the functions the website offers.

1st Place - $500
