Professional Development for HDR students

The Curtin Student Guild is excited to offer a series of Professional Development opportunities for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.

This program aims at building your research networks, keeping you informed of your rights and responsibilities as HDR students, and strengthening the postgrad community at Curtin.

Workshops and activities will be offered throughout 2019, focusing on topics of interest for HDR students. Some of the workshops will include:

- Establishing the supervisor relationship
- Applying for grants
- What to include in your Annual Progress Report
- HDR mental health and wellbeing

Networking and social events will also be offered.

Two workshops are currently on offer for students based on the Kalgoorlie campus!
 

Managing the Supervisor Relationship

10am, Tuesday 14 May

Workshop will run for an hour

This workshop will focus on how students can build and maintain productive and successful relationships with supervisors, as well as exploring the process for resolving any issues.
 

Tips & Tricks for HDR students

2pm, Thursday 16 May
Kalgoorlie campus: Building 703, Room 131
Workshop will run for an hour
Please register here
This workshop will focus on tips and tricks that can help HDR students complete their studies without disruption.
