Student Assist
Centrelink Advice
If you're facing financial troubles, Student Assist may have the advice you need. Student Assist provides an information, advocacy and referral service for Guild members on welfare and Centrelink issues. If you don't agree with a bill you have received or any other Cenrelink decision made about you, make an appointment with Student Assist.
Budgeting Advice
It is important to learn how to manage your money wisely, particularly if you are planning to move out of home for the first time. If your money matters are feeling a little complicated, our Student Assist Officers can offer supportive financial help and budgeting advice, as well as a comprehensive referral service (most of which are free to those on a low income).

Bookshop Grants
Each Semester, the generosity of the Curtin University Bookshop enables the Guild to provide grants of around $200 to a number of eligible enrolled Curtin students in financial need. In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must meet all the selection criteria, including the ability to prove low income, as well as providing all relevant documentation as outlined in the application form. The Grants are for essential course-related texts only, purchased at the Curtin University Bookshop.
