Excellence in Teaching Awards


 

Each year since 1999 the Guild has presented Excellence in Teaching Awards to an undergraduate lecturer/tutor from each faculty, one postgraduate coursework lecturer/tutor and one postgraduate research supervisor.  During the academic year the Guild collects nominations from students and the nominated teachers are requested to put forward a submission for consideration.  A selection panel largely comprising of student representatives ranks the top teachers.  The winners are awarded with a framed certificate and $1000 to be spent on improving students’ education during an awards ceremony.
