Notice of By-Election for Womens Officer

Nominations are now invited from interested and eligible persons for the position of Women’s Officer.

Nomination forms shall be accepted until 5pm Friday April 29th 2017, no late nominations will be accepted.

Nominations must be lodged with the Returning Officer either in person or by scanning their nomination form and emailing it to president@guild.curtin.edu.au

Should more than one valid nomination be received a by-election shall occur during a meeting of the Women’s Department that will be held at 12pm on Wednesday the 3rd of May 2017 in the Lance Twomey Lecture Theater – 408:1019.

If required voting will be open from the conclusion of speeches (around 12:15pm) till 2pm.

Candidates may only campaign for election within the confines of the limits under the Guild Regulations – Division Two and all material must be authorized by the Returning Officer.

Counting of the election shall occur following the conclusion of the meeting.

The recommendation by ballot of the Women’s Officer will be submitted to the Nominations Committee of Guild Council for its consideration which will then make a recommendation to the Guild Council.

Nominees may include a statement of up to five hundred (500) words with their nomination. This statement must be submitted by 5pm Friday April 29th 2017.
